Awards
We're always elated to receive an award. To us, recognition from user groups, civic organizations, and our peers means we are doing something right. And because we are truly dedicated to serving our communities, an award can let us know we are on the right path and that our projects are in step with the current needs of our neighbors. An award can also mean our work has been appreciated in the way it was conceived—that’s satisfying. Receiving positive acknowledgment like this is also validation that our overarching goal to create beautiful, practical, healthy public space for all is being realized. On a personal level, it’s humbling. We don’t do this work to get rich or win praise; we do it to be good stewards and to give back. Seeing people enjoy the projects we work on—that’s a bonus we don’t take for granted. That enjoyment is very fulfilling, and the currency we value most.
